Pot Jonker Advocaten N.V. (“Pot Jonker”) respects the privacy of its clients, the visitors of its website www.potjonker.nl and the persons who have registered for newsletters or (online) seminars, lectures or (case law) meetings of Pot Jonker.

In this privacy statement it is indicated how Pot Jonker processes your personal data and how you can exercise your rights on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). Processing of your personal data is done in a way that is in accordance with the requirements that privacy regulations impose on it. Personal data are only processed in the way that is described in this privacy statement.

Website and cookies

In the event of a visit to the website www.potjonker.nl your personal data are processed for the improvement of our website and social media sharing.

On the website general visiting information is recorded. Within this framework in particular the IP address of your computer, the possible username, the time of request and data that the browser of a visitor sends along are registered and are used to obtain statistical information about the quality and/or effectiveness of the website.

Our website uses three kinds of cookies: necessary cookies, analytical cookies and social media plug-ins. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the hard disk of your computer or mobile device by a website that you visit. In this text file information about your visit is stored. Statistics about organizations that visit our website

On our website we use software of Salesfeed to generate statistics about origin and behaviour of our target groups. On that occasion the address of your computer (IP address) is processed. As standard a session cookie (a first party cookie) is placed by the software of SalesFeed. This cookie is used to aggregate events and it expires after half an hour's inactivity. As standard no third party cookies are placed with visitors. The IP addresses of some of the Dutch organizations that visit our website are linked to a data bank with business data. Information about organizations that are registered in this data bank in connection with a visit to this website is not shared with third parties. Social media plugins

You can share the messages on our website via the buttons the social networks of LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook that are placed on it. Dispatch of the messages is achieved by a code that is supplied by LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook themselves. These codes use cookies. Read the privacy policy of LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook (which change regularly) to see what they do with your personal data (including any transfer of your personal data outside the EU/EEA).

You have control of the cookies yourself and may refuse their placement by adjusting the cookie settings in your browser. Most browsers indicate how you can refuse the placement of cookies, in which way you are informed about placement of a cookie and how you can remove placed cookies. It may be, however, that by refusing placement of cookies or removing placed cookies that you cannot use our website (in full).

Newsletters

We offer newsletters in which we inform people who are interested about news in the legal field, our services and related matters, and also our (online) seminars, lectures and (case law) meetings. When you apply for a newsletter we collect your gender (in connection with the proper salutation), forenames and surname, organization, e-mail address and the newsletters selected by you. For the newsletter we make use of the services of Spotler. Please read the privacy policy of Spotler for more information (including any transfer of your personal data outside the EU/EEA). We keep your data up to a maximum of one year after you have received any newsletter from us or until you have indicated that you do not want to receive any more newsletters from us. Every newsletter also contains a link by means of which you can unsubscribe from it.

Job applications

Via the website or by e-mail you can apply for vacancies and student internships with Pot Jonker. You can also send an open application to us. In those cases we collect your name, address, place of residence, telephone and e-mail information, date of birth, gender, job application information (CV, motivation letter, lists of marks, internship reports) and other data supplied by you. We keep these data up to a maximum of four weeks after the job application procedure has been ended. In some cases permission will be requested for keeping the data up to a maximum of one year after the application procedure has been ended.

(Online) seminars, lectures, (case law) meetings

You can apply from time to time for one of the (online) seminars, lectures or (case law) meetings organized by us. On those occasions we collect your name, address, place of residence, telephone and e-mail information, office/company (if applicable), your gender and other data supplied by you. We keep these data up to a maximum of two years after the relevant seminar, lecture or (case law) meeting has been held.

In some cases we make use of  the services of WebinarGeek for our online seminars, lectures or (case law) meetings. At the time of application and/or use of WebinarGeek we collect your name, office/company (if applicable), e-mail address, IP address, visiting behaviour, registration pages and the receipt of e-mails within the framework of the registration process for the webinar and follow-up of the webinar, and also viewing behaviour during the webinars and interactions during a webinar. We keep these data up to a maximum of two years after the relevant seminar, lecture or (case law) meeting has been held.

Practice day

From time to time we organize a (students') practice day for which you can apply. On those occasions we collect your name, address, place of residence, telephone and e-mail information, your gender, your date of birth, job application information (CV, motivation letter, lists of marks, internship reports) and other data supplied by you. We keep these data up to a maximum of two years after the relevant practice day occurred.

Privacy rights

We are aware that you have a number of privacy rights (inspection, rectification, removal, limitation, objection and data transferability) in connection with the processing of your personal data. For the exercise of your privacy rights you can send a request by e-mail to [email protected] with mention of "Exercise of privacy rights", or by regular mail to Pot Jonker Advocaten N.V., with mention of "Exercise of privacy rights", P.O. Box 280, 2000 AG Haarlem. For verification purposes we may ask you for proof of your identity.

If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes privacy regulations, you can submit a complaint to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
